1. Using DCO Enterprice »

» How big should our business be to use DCO Enterprise?
Using DCO Enterprise is useful if you have more than 100 divers per year.
Even if your dive center has less than 100 customers per year it can be useful because of the DCO web services.

2. Pricing and Licenses »

» Do the prices include VAT?
Our services are provided from Switzerland. If your business is based in Switzerland, all prices are subject to the actual VAT of 8%. Services given to other countries are exempt from VAT.
» How do you invoice the license fees?
We invoice the base license fee at the registration and at the license renewal(yearly). After the license period we invoice the final license fee and credit the already paid base license fee.
» Our dive center is open only half a year. Will there be a reduced license fee?
The fee is automatically reduced as you only have customers during the months you are open. But the basic fee remains the same.
» We are running only a very small dive centre. Are there special rates for us?
The structure of our prices are optimized for small dive centres as well. As you are dealing with less customers you have less Check-Ins per year and this reduces the license fee.
» We want to buy a one-time only license. Is this possible?
Our services are ongoing services and this is why a onetime license would not cover our costs. DCO Enterprise is upgraded on a regular basis and from past experience we know that it is very difficult to support and maintain many different versions. This is why you get all updates with the regular license fee all the time.
» We would like only DCO Software without the other Tools and Services. Is that possible?
Unfortunately not. Today’s business and marketing enviromnent is strongly related to web services and your customers are expecting just that. We can assure that dive centres working with DCO Enterprise as a complete package are bound to be much more successful than others.
» We would like to buy a user license only once. Is that possible?
Our service is an ongoing one and this is why a onetime license would not cover our costs. DCO Enterprise is upgraded on a regular basis and from past experience we know that it is very difficult to support and maintain many different versions of the same program. This is why you get all updates with the regular license fee all the time.
» Why are you calculating the license fee per Check-In?
The first reason is that many services depend on the intensity with which you are using our web services included in the license. The second reason is that we want to have a fair agreement: if your business is going slower, you pay less for the services.

3. Upgrade from older versions »

» Is an upgrade generally possible?
Of course you can update a former version to DCO Enterprise. Depending on the version you had before we are able to migrate more or less data.
The license fee for DCO Enterprise does not change if you upgrade but we support your migration by up to 10 hours of work (Emails, Remote access, etc...).
» Upgrading DCA 2000
Upgrading DCA 2000 from the years 2000 until 2004 is possible, but only very limited and we have to check your case individually.
Taking over the customer addresses should be no problem at all.
» Upgrading DCO
DCO has been provided from 2004 until 2010. Migrating data from this version is possible and importing customer addresses, items and balances from the accounting files are no problem. If you need further details do not hesitate to contact us.
» Upgrading from DCA
DCA was developed and sold from 1995 until 2000. We have to check each migration of data individually. Most probably we will be able to import at least the customer addresses.
